EDUCATION: Currently a 4.0 GPA student at Liberty University.

 

SCHOLASTIC AMBITION: Earn a Bachelor of Science degree at Liberty University while majoring in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Cinematography.

 

HONORS: Recipient of the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence; recipient of American Citizen Award; National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) Member and Virginia State Ambassador; recipient of Presidential Youth Fitness Award; Prudential Spirit of Community Awards Bronze medalist and distinguished finalist; awarded both the President’s Volunteer Service Silver and Gold medals; National Youth Activist Award nominee; and recipient of Charlotte H. Humphries Legacy Award.

 

PLATFORM: Founder and director of TEENS PAY IT FORWARD (TPIF) established in 2012. TPIF is a program that motivates and encourages teens to get involved in local and national charities through community service. To date, the program has jointly contributed over 14,000 service hours and has raised over $50,000 in cash and goods by partnering with business and community leaders across the country.

 

FUN FACTS: Julie was recently cast in a feature film making it’s debut at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. She is a vocalist, coffee connoisseur, and an outdoor enthusiast.

 

JULIE’S YEAR: Julie will travel across the country during her year of service as America’s National Teenager and educate audiences about ANTSO, it’s service mission, and her personal platform “TEENS PAY IT FORWARD.” Julie will work to promote charitable activities and community involvement around the country while showing teens that service is productive, fun, and meaningful.
