America's National Teenager Scholarship Organization will hold its 42nd Annual National Pageant in San Antonio, Texas. ANTSO National Sweetheart Pageant is July 19 – 23, 2012. ANTSO National Miss Pageant is July 19 – 23, 2012. America's National Teenager, Jr. National Teenager and Preteen National Teenager is July 22 – 29, 2012. We will be at the Omni La Mansion del Rio – named by Travel and Leisure Magazine's one of the "World's Best Hotels" in 2011!
Nearing her 300th birthday, San Antonio traces her roots to 1691. Both Spanish missionaries and military men soon determined that a move south to the banks of the San Antonio River was a good idea. There, in 1718, the officially founded a mission that would become the Alamo and a garrisoned post that would give name to the Plaza de Armas, today Military Plaza. The Alamo, Military Plaza, the San Antonio River and the Main Plaza – previously called the Plaza de las Islas in honor of the Canary Islanders who were brought to help tame this wild frontier – is the heart of current-day San Antonio.
